He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bennett and Lillie Mae Shallington Parnell; his wife Vernice Pollock Parnell; and his siblings, Robert, Faye, Janice, Barbara and Patsy.
He is survived by: his son Greg Parnell (DeAnna); his grandchildren, Luke Parnell and Lily Parnell; and his siblings, Becky Edwards, Keith Parnell and Wayne Parnell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
