He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther "John" Wilkins and Eleanor "Doodle" Wilkins of Summerlins Crossroads; his former wife Janet Wilkins; and his parents-in-law, Evelyn, Walter Baker of Seven Springs, Doris and Stephen Minchew of Kenly.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie "Twigg" Wilkins; his children, Shannon Wilkins (Bryan Whitley) of Mount Olive and Darren Jones (Karen) of Kenly; his grandchildren, Travis Memmelaar, Peyton Memmelaar Wiggins, Camden Finch, Ethan Jones, Kylie Jones, Grant Hardee, Lauren Hardee and Baker Sumner; his great grandchildren, Evelyn Wiggins, Charlotte Wiggins and Colton Hardee; and his sisters, Ellen Bell, Susan Haynes (Benny) and Jonnie Grantham (Jeff).
