With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Ernest Blackmon (Kenly, North Carolina), born in Wilson, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2024 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Ernest Blackmon and Hildred Haynes Blackmon; and his nephew Reece Richardson. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Earp Blackmon; his daughters, Crystal Mui (Gary) and Brandy Spicer (Scott Eoff); his grandchildren, Christian Mui-Blackmon, Michael Blackmon (Allison), Jazmine Mui-Blackmon (Karl), Ashley Mui and Ivy Garcia; his sister Becky Blackmon Richardson (Ricky); his niece Rebecca Richardson; and his nephews, Russell Clark (Leslie), Bryan Clark (Crystal) and William Charpin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Arobor Day Foundation of North Carolina Wildlife Federation.
