He is survived by: his wife Karen Hodge Brown; his children, Joshua Malcom Brown of Kenly, Heather Brown Peele (Michael) of Lucama and Laura Brown of Kenly; his grandchildren, Brianna Brown, Alexus Brown, Sydney Peele and Raymond Brown, Jr.; his siblings, Frances Annette Hall of Florida, Diane Cooper Tindall of South Carolina, Donald Cooper, Gary Cooper and Sandy Cooper of Kenly; and his close friend Dale Perkins. He is also survived by four nieces, three nephews.
