With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeanette Johnson Cockrell of Kenly, North Carolina, who passed away on October 25, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sanford Johnson and Bessie Johnson of Kenly; and her brothers, Henry Raeford "Chief" Johnson, Nathan Waeford Johnson and Billy Athen Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Elton Lee; her son Mark (Ronnia); her grandchildren, Hunter and Hailee; and her sisters, Janet Cockrell (Jerry) of Grifton and Peggy Pendergraph (James) of Raleigh. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
