He was predeceased by: his parent Monroe Barnes; his son James Barnes; and his brother Donald Barnes. He is survived by: his parent Gladys Barnes (Snyder); his wife Mary Barns; his daughters, Sherri Pepper of Millwood, WV and Rebecca Barnes Renfow; his granddaughter Lori Schultz of Hometown, WV; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Alissa.

“My name is David Lesley. Y'all came into my life for a time in the late 90s, offered to help me. Ive never forgotton the two of you,and what you tried to do for me. My wife tried to find you for me, and came across this. I'm so sorry. Leo was a great man. Both of you are. I'm sorry this is late, that I wasn't able to tell Leo these things.
