He was predeceased by: his parents, Rainey Baker and Sallie Baker; his son J. Karl Baker; and his sisters, Ann Woodard, Faye Warren and Brenda Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Ute Baker; his daughter Nancy Wheeler (Robbie) of Princeton, NC.; and his grandson Jared Wheeler of Princeton, NC.. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
