With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dwayne Steven Proctor of Kenly, North Carolina, who passed away on November 27, 2024 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Dwayne Steven may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dwayne Steven touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James William "Sonny" Proctor, Jr. and Adell Whaley Proctor. He is survived by: his daughter Stephany Hinton (Jordan Hinton); his granddaughter Lorelei Sydney-James Hinton; his brothers, Dennis Hoffman (Joyce Hoffman) and Tony Hoffman (Sharon Hoffman); and his uncle Selby Proctor. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
