She was predeceased by: her father William Cockrell; her husband Gene Bunn; her children, Frances Godwin and Benny Rae Barnes; and her brothers, Pete and Steve Cockrell.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia A. Jones of Kenly and Timothy W. Barnes of Newton Grove; and her siblings, Johnny Cockrell of Rocky Mount, Brenda Godwin of Kenly, Peggy Clark of Angier, Shirley Scott of Wilson and Judy Barnes of Kenly. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
