He was predeceased by: his mother Silvia Salazar. He is survived by: his wife Julia Perez-Marin; his children, Scott Mota (Dana), Jeremy Mota (Reyna Garcia), Bryan Mota and Heidi Mota; his grandson Stefan Mota; his siblings, Ana Belen Mota (Juan Carlos Figueroa), Socorro Mota, Maria Dolores Mota Salazar (Alfredo Garcia), Erika Salazar Munguia (Javier Guzman Lopez), Roberto Mota, Christian Mota (Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez), Juan Ramirez, Esteban Salazar Munguia and Jose Alejandro Ramirez Salazar (Maribel Moran Galicia); and his stepmother Cristina Estrella Cortez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (700 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27893).
