He was predeceased by: his parents, Murphy Forbes and Jesse Bell Hall Forbes; his wife Edna Ann Hyatt Forbes; and his siblings, Kit Forbes, Jimmy Forbes, Paul Forbes, Helen Lail, Dot Gardner and Kitty Forbes.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Ray Forbes, II (Trina) and Amy Forbes Lampman (Destin) of Kenly; and his siblings, Mary Evelyn Cable, Peggy Sayles, Betty Jo Jackson, Marilyn Freeman, Edna Mooneyham and David Forbes. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
