She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Mae Powell and Harry Lee Powell Sr. Phyllis; her son Chikki Powell; her grandson Rasean Wigley; her sister Lillian Waller; her daughters, Michelle Wigley and Tamika Wiley (Nikia); her grandchildren, Shakyra Powell, Tavion Powell, Aniyah Wiley and Amari Wiley; and her siblings, Donna Freeman, Jeremiah Williams (Jean), Janice Strickland, Carolyn Powell and Monica Vann (Dean).
