She was predeceased by: her parents, Duncan Henderson and Vissie Davis Henderson; her grandson Carl Gene Holmes, Jr.; her great grandchild Channing Holmes; and her brother Jesse Ray Henderson.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Holmes (Jo Ellen) of Warsaw and Kay Raynor of Kenansville; her siblings, Arnold Henderson (Carolyn) of Kenansville, Bruce Henderson (Debbie) of Faison and Annette Bostic of Chinquapin; her grandchildren, Johnathan Tyler Holmes, Elizabeth Grace Marshall (Chris) and Cody Herring (Katelyn); and her great grandchildren, Jaydn Marshall, Gracin Marshall, Gibson Ray Herring and Mack Herring.
