She was predeceased by: her former husband Samuel E. Torrans; her daughter Edwina Torrans; and her siblings, J. D. Johnson, George M. Johnson, Worth Johnson, Carlos Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Doris Warren and Madeline Merritt.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Taylor of Kenansville; her daughters, Telza T. Quinn of Warsaw and Kim Matthis of Mt. Olive; her grandchildren, Seth Quinn (Amber, Carmon Short), Eric, Zachary Quinn and Taylor Morrison (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Owen Quinn, Preston Short and Quinn Short; and her sister Iska Killette of Warsaw. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
