It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Whitfield of Kenansville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert Glasper and Ruth Dobson; her spouse Arme Lee Whitfield; and her siblings, Lillie Ruth Miller and Bobby Wayne Glaspie.
She is survived by: her daughter Letitia Lesene (Alphonza) of Killeen, TX; her grandchildren, Orando Lesene (Elaine) and Latasha Lesene of Killeen, TX.; her great grandchildren, Shaw-Dai, Sanaa, Shayklah Sherrod and Bryan; her siblings, Robert Glasper Jr. (Doris), Leonardtown, MD, Larry Jones, Bertha Jones of Landover, MD and Dortry Lewis Miller of Raleigh, NC; her cousin Leatha Dobson of Kenansville, NC; and her aunts, Zoye Marie Dobson of Fredericksburg, VA, Glenda Marie Dobson, Brooklyn and Host. She is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
