It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Chambers of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Chesterfield, South Carolina, who passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Will Chambers and Louvenia Ledbetter Chambers; his wife Marie Little Chambers; and his children, Harold Chambers and Shelia Hardin.
He is survived by: his children, Willie R. Chambers (Kimberly) of Kannapolis, Kenneth Wayne Chambers of Kannapolis, Michael A. Chambers, Debra D. Funderburk (Curtis) of Kannapolis, Sylvia D. Dickerson (Calvin) of Salisbury, Rose Chambers, Anthony Vaughn Wilson (Kim) of Atlanta, GA and Benita Truesdale of Kannapolis; and his sister Louise Caldwell of Kannapolis. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren.
