It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Ray Bates Jr. (Kannapolis, North Carolina), who passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Bates and Ann Bates of Kannapolis; and his son Kegan Bates. He is survived by: his daughter Kalei Bates (Chris McMickle) of Kannapolis; his granddaughter Willow Grace McMickle of Kannapolis; his sister Debbie Holzendorf (Bill) of Salisbury; and his friend Caren Bates.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lady's Funeral Home, 268 N. Cannon Boulevard, Kannapolis, NC 28081 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
