He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Christy and George Christy; and his wife Evelyn Adcock Christy. He is survived by: his grandsons, Tyler Hollett of Raleigh, NC and Jon Hollett of Lewisville, NC; and his friends, Ronnie, Kay, Del, Dixie, Suzie, James and David.
He attended the First Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis until the Covid 19 epidemic and then remained in touch with his church community through phone calls and visitation with those who came to his home.
