It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Dare Shuping of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Virginia Dare departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Virginia Dare. Though Virginia Dare may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
The lying in state will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
