It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stella Stirewalt (Kannapolis, North Carolina), born in Candor, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melton Ard and Maie Ard; her husband Homer D. Stirewalt (Bill); her daughter Rhonda Moore; and her grandson Shaun Christy.
She is survived by: her sisters, Janie Freeman and Jessie Lemonds; her daughter Kay; her son-in-law Chris Christy; her grandchildren, Christina Hester (James), Bryan Christy, Lee Katherine Christy and Thomas Christy (Liza); her great grandchildren, Landon Hester and Eli Hester; her nieces and nephews, Winnie Steed, Mary Ann Hogan, Larry Lemonds, Harvey Lemonds, Shirley McKenzie, James Freeman, David Freeman and Brenda Dunn; and her friend Marilyn Upright.
