He is survived by: his granddaughters, Carrie Johnson Walters and Sherry Johnson Dixon; his great grandchildren, Aaron "Aria" Ashburn, Alexis Bradshaw, Staley Jarrett Ashburn, Kailah Bradshaw, John Boy Dixon and Pawpaw; and his children, Kathy Johnson and Jerry Johnson, Sr.. He is also survived by grandchildren; 10 additional great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
