With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Frances Grass (Kannapolis, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 1, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Talbot Stevens and Nellie Stevens; and her siblings, Fula, Rupert, Reta, Thurston, Janice, Talbert and Jackie.
She is survived by: her husband Edwin Excell Grass; her daughters, Deborah Briggs (Kerry), Maria Carlton and Ruth Lewis-Pitt (Gareth); and her grandchildren, Justin, Dillon, Kelsey, Montana, Matthew, Georgia and David.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial United Methodist Church (1100 Pine St, Kannapolis, NC 28081). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
