She was predeceased by: her parents, Junie Washington Hatley and Alice Mae Earnhardt Hatley; and her husband Luther Martin Cress, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Luther "Luke" Martin Cress, III of Kannapolis, Shelby Belk (Fred) of Kannapolis, Danny Cress of Kannapolis, Anita Sadler of Rockwell, Barbara Eller (Lloyd) of Supply and Margie O'Shields (Buddy) of Huntersville. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
