He was predeceased by: his parents, James Moffitt and Edith Cook Moffitt Barbee; his brother James Ronald Moffitt; and his grandson James Glenn. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Brown Moffitt; his daughters, Susan Moffitt Salyer (Thomas Hargrove) of Durham and Bobbie Ann Moffitt of Concord; his grandchildren, Gage, Dreama, Jaden, Sophie and Xavier Measmer; and his siblings, Richard W. Moffitt of Kannapolis, Virginia Lumley of Gastonia, Wanda Sue Barbee of Concord, Judy Ann Moore of Salisbury and Dollie Poston of Landis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
