He was predeceased by: his sister Martha Laney Barbee. He is survived by: his wife Betty Query Laney; his nephews, Steve Barbee (Dawn) of Kannapolis and Kristopher Odom of Kannapolis; his niece Mary Ann Barbee of Green Bay, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Moose, Millie Gray, Sharry Isenhour, Kathy Popwell and Marvin Query.
