With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Elaine Besserdich of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on December 25, 2022 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Parnell and Wilma Ferrell Parnell; her brother Mike Parnell; and her husband Hans Gunther Besserdich. She is survived by: her children, Nina Elaine Barkley of Kannapolis, NC, Elizabeth Anna Besserdich of Kannapolis, NC, Michael Allen Besserdich (Angie) of Kannapolis, NC and Juan Carlos Soto, Jr. of Kannapolis, NC; and her sisters, Karen Kennard of Mint Hill, NC and Jackie Jones of Lenoir, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
