He is survived by: his wife Vivian Christy Eckels; his children, Phillip Eckels (Jamie) and Stephanie Chessmore (Chris); his grandchildren, Courtney Wilder (Justin), Jason and Justin Wilder (Dysis); his great grandchild Astril Moon; and his sister Paula Eckels (Mike). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
