He was predeceased by: his parents, John Isaac Thompson and Cassie Lee Robinson Thompson; his son Anthony Bradford; his siblings, Annie McDaniel, Irene Brittingham, Tyrone Thompson and Willie James Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Caron Thompson and Joshua Brittingham.
He is survived by: his wife Jameelah Rashada; his children, Rashada S. Rashada of Concord, Rasheeda L. Rashada of Midland and Terry Smith of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Sayyid Y. Gibson, Kameelah B. Fenderson and Amayah A. Dudley; his great grandchild Sahara S. Gibson; and his sisters, Ivery Worthy of Delaware, Rosa Pettyjohn of Delaware, Charlotte Thompson of Delaware and Vynella Delesline of Wilmingon.
