With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Ann Burton (Kannapolis, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 17, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, W. T. "Pete" Pouncey and Addie Ruth Pouncey; her husband James Robert Burton; her siblings-in-law, Max and Ruth Cruse; and her son-in-law Robbie Adams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Hughlene A. Burton, Anita B. Huffman (Linc) and Rev. Amy W. Burton; her grandchildren, Pete M. Huffman and Kate L. Huffman; and her close friend Patti Gray. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to your local Hospice chapter, Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church for Hurricane Helene relief, or the charity of your choice.
