With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Burgess of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Baxter Burgess and Elizabeth Jane "Lib" Taylor Burgess; his daughter Rose Marie Burgess; and his siblings, George Baxter Burgess, Larry Donald Burgess, Allan Duncan Burgess and Carolyn Twitty.
He is survived by: his children, Gina B. Hagan of Kannapolis, Mary E. Burgess Perez of Concord, Dorothy Jamison of Concord and Paul Baxter Burgess, II of Rockwell; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Burgess of Kannapolis, Grace Marie Burgess of Rockwell and Levi Burgess, Sr. of Rockwell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to help ease the burden of their sudden loss may be sent to Lady's Funeral Home & Crematory, 268 N. Cannon Boulevard, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
