She was predeceased by: her parents, James William Barnes and Maudie Bell Brookshire Barnes; and her husband Ernest Long. She is survived by: her son Gene Long of Kannapolis; her grandsons, Tony Long of Kannapolis and Tim Long (Patricia) of China Grove; and her great grandchildren, Sydney Long Presnel (Ethan) and Marshall Long of China Grove.
