She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Bruce Carter and Gertie Myrtle Walters; her fiancé Linville Walter Church; and her brothers, Roger Carter, Demarco Carter and Bill Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Bost Stamey (Bob Stamey), Benny Lynn Bost (Jennifer Bost) and Nena Moore Knight; her grandchildren, Trey Stamey (Aimee Stamey), Amanda Stamey Little (Joseph Little), Isaac Knight, Kaleigh Knight, Aubree Knight and Ellie Knight; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Stamey, Blaine Little, Slate Little and Luna Stamey; and her siblings, Barbara Ann Blackwelder, Carl Carter, Jr., Jimmy Carter (Sandy Carter), Ronnie Carter (Toy Carter) and Herbie Carter (Pam Carter). She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar He's Alive Church (1310 N Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
