It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Allan McVay (Kannapolis, North Carolina), born in Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on February 8, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Ilaine Turner McVay. He is survived by: his father Gerald Wesley McVay of Asheville; his wife Sherry Meacham McVay; his sons, Wesley McVay (Chelsea) of Mt. Ulla and Corey McVay (Sarah) of Mt. Ulla; and his siblings, Sharon O'Brien (Michael) of Asheville, Robert "Bob" McVay (Sandy) of Kannapolis and David McVay (Crystal) of Kannapolis. He is also survived by five step-children; and nine grandchildren.
