He was predeceased by: his brothers, Boyd and George Gainey. He is survived by: his sister Kathleen Hall Gainey; his wife Jo Ann Talbert Gainey; and his children, Michael Gainey, Jr. (Colleen) of Midland and Jessica Gainey of Kannapolis. He is also survived by his 7 brothers and 6 sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
