She was predeceased by: her parent William Steiner Dendy; her husband Earl D. Sloan, Sr.; and her siblings, Thomas G. Dendy and Joyce Dendy Lowery. She is survived by: her parent Ethel Atwood Dendy; her daughter Kimerly Edwards (Jim) of Forest City; her grandson Ben Edwards; her son Dwight Sloan (Debra) of Kannapolis; her granddaughters, Melody Sloan and Miranda Farmer (Jonathan); her daughter Cheryl Cornwell (Chris) of Athens; her grandchildren, Caitlin Cornwell, Sallie Cornwell and Samuel Cornwell (Lindsay); her great grandchildren, Tilden Cornwell and Everly Mae Cornwell; her daughter Kelly Carnes (Keith) of Concord; her grandson Luke Torreano; her son Eric Sloan of Kannapolis; and her sister Leslie Dendy Patton (Hugh) of Kannapolis.
