It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Phifer Kirton of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walter Covington and Foy Baker Covington; and her husband Randolph Kirton. She is survived by: her children, Willis Phifer (Carol) of Kannapolis, NC, Bernard Phifer of Brooklyn, NY, Quentin Phifer of Brooklyn, NY and Theresa Balddnado of Kannapolis, NC. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Due to Covid-19, masks are appreciated if worn in all services.
