She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Price Holdbrooks and Julia Ford Holdbrooks; and her siblings, Betty Jean Ford, Melvin Holdbrooks, Lester Holdbrooks and Willard Holdbrooks.

She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Lee Cruse; her children, Michelle C. Shepard (Timothy) of Charlotte, NC, Michael Cruse (Tracy) of Concord, NC and James R. Cruse; and her sister Angela Klutz of Concord, NC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
