He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stewart Brown, Sr. and Cornelia Rumple Brown; his wife Elsie McDuffie Brown; his daughter Beverly Ann Brown Lord; and his siblings, Mary Louise Watt and Ernest Rumple.
He is survived by: his sons, Philip Lee Brown of Kannapolis, Mark Eric Brown (Lisa) of Kannapolis and Stephen Scott Brown of China Grove; his grandchildren, Megan Lord Peterson (Lucas), Lauren Lord Urban (Steve), Samuel Lee Brown and John Thomas Brown; his great grandchild Hadley Urban; and his siblings, James Stewart Brown, Jr. (Evelyn) of Kannapolis and Ruth Fesperman of Kannapolis.
The family requests that social distancing be observed and masks be worn at the visitor's discretion.
