It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leon Vinson (Kannapolis, North Carolina), born in Madison, Georgia, who passed away on April 21, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Vinson and Annie Graham Vinson; his wife Odia Bell Graham Vinson; his daughter Martha Gainey; and his siblings, Grace Pittard, Alice Hall and Travis Vinson.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Vinson (Becky) of China Grove and Kathy Albright (Daryl) of Kannapolis; and his grandchildren, Jill Kadel, Denise Sprouse, Chris Gainey, Joshua Vinson, Alisha Wilson and Kathryne Wehlman. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
The family asks that social distancing be observed and all attendees wear masks.
