He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George G. Phillips and Charlotte Chester Phillips; his wife Betty Cauthen Phillips; his daughter Lynn Phillips Russell (Mark) of Kannapolis; his half-brother Dale Queen (Cindy) of Wilkesboro; and his sister Shirley Hobbs of Mooresville.
