He is survived by: his wife Ann Miller Hurd; his daughter Sandy Hackett (Barry) of Julian, NC; his granddaughters, Jessica and Lauren Watts; his stepson Chris Driggers (Amy); his stepgrandchildren, Aston and Amelie Driggers; his sister Sharman Hurd of Tampa, FL; and his nephew Gary Tucker (Sharon).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.
