We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2018, at the age of 93, Katherine Carter (Kannapolis, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Burtis Elijah Smith; and her husband James Harold Carter. She is survived by: her parent Pearl Sides Smith; her children, Harold Steven Carter (Mary Rae) of Simpsonville, SC and Susan McCurdy of Lenexa; and her sister Betty Moss (Ray) of Williamsburg, VA. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
