It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Smith of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on November 16, 2020, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Franklin Lowery and Peggy Stamey Lowery; her husband Matthew Smith; her children, Jessica Jung (Jon) of Kannapolis, Zachary Lowery (Wheeler) and Nolan Smith of Kannapolis; her granddaughters, Kirsten Jung and Kinsley Jung; and her sister Lisa Taylor of Kannapolis.
