He was predeceased by: his father Joe Barnette. He is survived by: his mother Barbara J. Willis of Kannapolis, NC; his wife Jenny W. Willis; his daughter Lailah Elise Willis of Holly Springs, NC; his stepdaughter Darjenae Wright-Boyd of Kannapolis, NC; his siblings, Purcell Willis, Jr. (Kathy) of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Willis (Cimone) of Kannapolis, NC, Teresa Willis Moss of Kannapolis, NC and Janice Willis Carr of Kannapolis, NC; his in-laws, Billy and Romely Washington of Kannapolis, NC; and his aunt Jackie Neal of Salisbury, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Marable Memorial AME Zion Church (400 Huron St, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
