He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Joan High; his parent Erastus Blair High; his brothers, Crawford Blair High and Max High; and his children, Johnny Ray High and Rose High.
He is survived by: his parent Leona Hamilton High; his former wives, Linda K. Bare (Billy) of Jefferson, NC and Mary; his grandchildren, Mariah E. M. High and Marie I. High; and also, Bruce High (Samantha) of Concord, Judy Hildreth (Jasper) of Wadesboro, NC, William High (Sharon) of Concord, Johnny L. High of Statesville, Mitchell G. High and Jonathan B. High. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
