He was predeceased by: his parents, Jepty Boyd and Tamer Dancy Hooper; his wife Betty Jo Childers Hooper; and his siblings, Jerry Hooper and Geraldine Key.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Hooper and Amy Teague of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Alisia Hooper, Kaylen Teague, Travis Absher and Brayden Absher; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel and Bryson Burgess.
