It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Lanier Moon of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver C. Moon and Gussie Smith Moon; his siblings, Albert, William Moon, Carolyn Edmonson and Glennette Beaver; and his great grandchild Chandler Craig Moon.
He is survived by: his sibling Ashley Moon; his wife Nancye Jane Chandler Moon; his sons, Gregory Moon (Ludi) of Kannapolis, Kevin Moon (Terri) of Landis and Joel Moon (Lori) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Jay, Noah, Hannah Ryan, Brandon Moon and Julie Misenheimer; his siblings, Ronnie Moon (Nickie) and Marion Anderson; and also Jay. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Bethpage United Methodist Church (109 Fellowship Ave, Kannapolis, NC 28081). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at the same location.
