She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Sain and Beulah Sain; and her husband Donald Eugene Atwell. She is survived by: her children, Don Atwell Jr. (Marcia), Tina Valdez (Angel) and Angie Tedder (Ray); her grandchildren, Lisa Souther (Dustin), Malia Barrett (Bryan) and Brennan Tedder; and her great grandchildren, Whitley and Caroline Souther.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Calendar Carolina Memorial Park (3101 S Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tucker Hospice House of Cabarrus County in her honor.
