We are sad to announce that on December 20, 2019, at the age of 85, James McCarty (Kannapolis, North Carolina), born in Colbert, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arthur and Quilla Mae Martin McCarty. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Metcalf McCarty; his daughter Melony McCarty Kuyath (Steve) of Kannapolis; his granddaughters, Chelsea Kuyath of Boone and Nikki Kuyath Aldridge (Jeremy) of Kannapolis; and his great grandchildren, Kahlan and Declan.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church 416 E 1st St, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
