He is survived by: his parent Bessie Nix Howard; his wife Nina Phillips Howard; his sister Faye Howard Rodgers (William) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Laura Muncy and Michael Muncy; and his great grandchildren, Oliver and Charlotte.
